Filthbomb Breaks & Collectibles was built from a lifelong passion for sports cards and a simple idea: create a place where collectors can have fun, chase the players and teams they love, and always feel like they are being treated right.

Owner Stephen Abbondandolo, a Glen Cove native and lifelong collector, opened Filthbomb Breaks & Collectibles in Glen Cove, New York, in 2017. Alongside President John Yohe, he grew what began with breaks on Facebook into a nationally recognized sports card breaking and collectibles company, expanding onto Fanatics Live and, most recently, eBay Live.

Today, Filthbomb has become one of the leading breaking companies in the hobby, opening products from some of the biggest names in sports cards, including Topps and Panini.

What Is a Sports Card Break?

Sports card breaks give collectors a different way to experience the hobby.

Instead of purchasing an entire sealed box or case, customers can purchase a specific team, player, or randomized spot within a break. Our breakers then open the sealed products live, and customers receive the cards associated with the spot they purchased.

For collectors chasing a favorite team, rookie, superstar, or specific player, breaking provides an opportunity to participate in premium products without having to purchase an entire box or case on their own.

More importantly, breaks turn opening cards into a shared experience.

The excitement of a huge pull isn't limited to one person sitting at home. Thousands of collectors can watch, react, celebrate, and experience those moments together in real time.

From Glen Cove to Collectors Across the Country

Filthbomb's roots will always be in Glen Cove.

As a kid, one of Stephen's favorite places was a local collectibles shop called Legends and Heroes, where his passion for collecting continued to grow.

That experience helped shape what he wanted Filthbomb to become.

A place where a kid can walk in and buy their first pack.

A place where an experienced collector can ask for advice.

A place where people can talk sports, learn about cards, get help with grading, and feel connected to the hobby.

Stephen continues to call Glen Cove home, and giving back to the community that helped shape him remains an important part of Filthbomb's mission.

Filthbomb has supported local organizations, sponsored Little League, contributed to charitable causes, and helped support improvements at Glen Cove City Stadium.

As the company grows nationally, Glen Cove will always be home.
