2 baseball cards to BUY LOW on during the 2019 Off Season.

The 2019 Major League Baseball season has come and gone. As always, with the off season in full swing, we begin to see decreased card prices. It's the way it has always been.  Sports cards seem to see a 20-50% down tick in the off season as players are no longer in the public eye on a daily basis.  The better the player, the less of a decrease, however even the 2011 Update Mike Trout has seen a minor decrease in value (even after his MVP announcement). This article will focus on 2 lower end cards with nice upside potential. Of course I could recommend the obvious cards like the HUGE star rookies etc, however this article will introduce you to 2 cards you may have never thought of dabbling in, yet have a chance to double or even triple in the next 12 months.   2013 Bowman Chrome Aldaberto Mondesi Autograph.               First off, you need to know that the card will actually say Raul Mondesi Jr....

2019 Bowman Chrome Prospect Analysis – Filthbomb Breaks

Before we start the article... a shameless plug. Our EBAY 2019 Bowman Chrome 2 case player break ends on release day WEDNESDAY 9/18 and breaks the same day. You can enter the break by clicking HERE 2019 Bowman Chrome releases in just under a week.  For the past 48 hours we have worked diligently on putting together a cheat sheet/guide if you will,  to help weed through the trash bags while hopefully landing you some gems. Here is our quick takeaway from the product as a whole: As a whole, the prospects in this product are pretty weak. No need to fear however, as Topps made sure to load it up with this years TOP rookies (Alonso, Tatis, Eloy, Vlad etc), they included the big guys from 19 Bowman (Wander Franco, Joey Bart, Julio Rodriguez etc) while also loading it up with last years draft class (Mize, Hoerner, Bohm, Madrigal, etc). On top of that, they included some super stars like Trout, Jeter, Judge, Acuna, Soto etc. Overall it...

9/2 FREE MLB PICKS OF THE DAY

9/2 FREE MLB PICKS OF THE DAY

Article contributed by John Yohe (Filthbomb Analyst) You’re heads up at the final table at the World Series of Poker. You’re dealt pocket aces and your opponent raises you pre-flop all-in. Naturally, you immediately get that tingly feeling running throughout your body like you’re back in middle school and the bottle just stopped on you. So, what do you do? The only thing you can do – call! When they river a set and you get that burning sensation in your chest like a 3 am Taco Bell run, you begin to ask your self the age old question....."did I make the right choice?". Some people would say it was the wrong call because you lost and it’s as simple as that. Not me. I live my betting/sports/fantasy life as decision based over outcome based. Why? Because we cannot control the outcome, but we can control the decisions that are made and why we make them. If I make a call that is rooted in facts and sound objective judgment, I can live with the outcome. This is especially...

What you need to know about 2019 Topps Five Stars Checklist – PYT ADVICE

What you need to know about 2019 Topps Five Stars Checklist – PYT ADVICE

This years Five Star Product is absolutely loaded. The design is beautiful, and the player checklist is on point! Below we will break down the strength of each teams checklist while assigning it a grade from 1-10. Take a look at the checklist from groupbreakchecklist.com here: ANGELS: 8.5 The Angels have the usual star studded lineup featuring Mike Trout! Ohtani, Pujols & Hunter round out the checklist. ASTROS: 5.5 This could have been better, but could have also been worse. They left off Bregman but added Nolan Ryan. Springer, Altuve and a few rookies also can be found. ATHLETICS: 5.5 (SLEEPER PICK) McGwire, Canseco and Eckersley lead the way in the HOF/VET department. They also have a few tough 1/1 cuts on the list as well.  Throw in the fact that Olson, Davis and Laureano are included and this makes for a very tasty option. BLUE JAYS: 8 Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is the obvious reason for the Jay ranking so high, however it's not a Vlad or bust checklist by any means. 3...

WWE BRACKET BUSTER!!!

WWE BRACKET BUSTER!!!

With last weeks best match being Roman Reigns vs Buddy Murphy, this weeks show started off with with an amazing matchup between Roman Reigns vs Dolph Ziggler. Roman Reigns continued where he left off, putting on a show with Ziggler. Ziggler landed some heavy shots to "The Big Dog" throughout the match. Ziggler even delivered some Sweet Chin Music, however Roman Reigns would end it with a high flying spear. Looking forward to seeing both of their next matches. The next best match was actually a hard one to decide, so I chose two. The Womens tag team match between Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose featured some good talent. Bliss and Cross work well together. The same can be said for Deville and Rose. These two delivered a combination of hard kicks and elbows. Bliss and Cross would win this though as they smothered their opponents. Deville and Rose will be climbing the ladder soon in WWE! Lastly, how could you not give Seth Rollins & Braun...

What you need to know about the 2018 Topps Ronald Acuna Bat Down SP RC – Filthbomb Breaks

What you need to know about the 2018 Topps Ronald Acuna Bat Down SP RC – Filthbomb Breaks

Boy the difference a few weeks can make in the sports card world. 2 weeks ago I was buying boxes of 2018 Topps Update for $80 at my local flea market and the guy was hugging me.  Today, I can't even get a hug from my local dealer for $80.  No seriously. I tried. He said If I gave him another $50 he'd give me a hug and a box of Update. **Shrugs** Anyways, with the prices of these Acuna Rookies skyrocketing over the past week or so, I wanted to take a moment to put this blog out to keep you from making a bad decision. MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ACUNA ROOKIE CRAZE: The chance of you pulling a BAT DOWN SP RC out of a box of 2018 Topps Update box is 0%. If you buy a case, your chances slightly increase to 0% lol Yes you read that correct. 0%. No, it's not because you're luck is as bad...

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LAST WEEKS WWE MATCHES – FILTHBOMB BREAKS

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LAST WEEKS WWE MATCHES – FILTHBOMB BREAKS

This article was submitted via our non sport contributor Fred Drwal. As a longtime wrestling fan I will be sharing my thoughts on the current WWE shows on live tv and PPV. Its an exciting week in WWE because the King Of The Ring Tournament is returning tomorrow night! Many wrestlers have made a name for themselves by winning the King Of the Ring. The King Of The Ring started in 1985. Don Muraco was the first to be crowned and the last to be crowned was  “Bad News” Barrett  in 2015. Past Winners: ∙       Stone Cold Steve Austin ∙       Bret “The Hitman” Hart ∙       Triple H ∙       “Macho Man”Randy Savage ∙       Booker T ∙       Kurt Angle ∙       Edge ∙       “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase ∙       Harley Race Owen Hart   My Pick 2019 King Of The Ring:  Drew McIntyre   With the King Of The Ring returning and being more of an old school fan both Raw and Smackdown should be a must see this week!   This Past  week on Raw Drew McIntyre vs Cedric...

2019 Topps Chrome PYT Value Plays – Case Break Advice

2019 Topps Chrome PYT Value Plays – Case Break Advice

2019 Topps Chrome has been out for just under a week now, and we have opened up a TON of it. We are beginning to see some serious value plays in this product which you should be able to take advantage of if your breaker keeps breaking it. Los Angeles Dodgers  Will Smith has gotten hot as of late, and his autos have began to catch fire as well. His base auto redemptions are selling for about $40 and his refractors are almost double. Sneaky play all the way.   2. Pittsburgh Pirates Hellloooo NEWMANN. The Pirates are an inexpensive team with some real nice upside.  Kevin Newman is a solid player and I actually believe he can take the next step for the Pirates. At their current price, there really isn't any risk in sleeving and saving the base rookies you get along with any autos that may pop out.   3. New York Mets I know what you are thinking... "HOW CAN THE METS BE A VALUE PLAY?! THEY ARE TOO EXPENSIVE!?"....

Is it time to break up with your breaker? How to limit your downside in case breaks.

Is it time to break up with your breaker? How to limit your downside in case breaks.

Case breaks have been around since the early 2000's. They are a fun and exciting way to participate in the hobby without dumping a ton of money into a case. Recently, the sports card market has BOOMED, and with that has come a steady influx of breakers showing up on the scene. The right breaker can be entertaining, funny and make the break seem effortless. The wrong breaker can well.... make the break drag on way longer than it should, and turn what should be a fun experience into a "Are we there yet?". Case breaks are a gamble.  It is no different than going to the local card store and buying your own personal box. No one knows what is going to come out of a said box or case. Usually, the value of the cards that come out of each box are less than the overall cost of the box.  Same goes with breaking. From my experience, 5-6 teams usually break even or make off on a case break.  The...
